Happy Valentine's Day!

I have to admit I LOVE Valentine's Day! I have been looking forward to it for at least a week. For me this day means celebrating all of the love in my life. I am so blessed to have loving family and friends in my life. I also am truly loving myself and my life. I guess you will always find those who are able to turn something into "Poor me". That's certainly not this girl and every time that I heard something about single awareness day or being bitter about today, I thought to myself, "I am so glad that I don't think like that". I am grateful that my glass is half full.

Here goes!

I have been thinking about creating a blog for a while. I thought it would be a fun way to express myself and it would challenge me to write more creatively. After asking friends for advice and thinking it over I started to work on it. Initially you are asked to name your blog. I was stumped! I didn't think this would be so hard. I just wanted to write. I am not exactly sure what I will write about. Do I have to have a theme? Does it matter? Who is going to read it anyway? After thinking it over it hit me. The song, "This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine" popped in my head. That's it! So I found my name. It fits me and the blog perfect. In various ways in my life I have begun to let my light shine. I am not sure where it has been or why I have been afraid to let it shine but it is beginning to more and more everyday. I truly am enjoying myself and my life and hope to share some of that light with others. Here goes!
